Jeff Aguirre

Founder, West Coast Barbell

Jeff Aguirre has over 35 years of training experience and more than 25 years of coaching athletes and everyday individuals. He specializes in improving body composition, strength, and overall fitness for clients of all ages and levels — from beginners to advanced competitors.


Jeff began lifting weights at 13 years old and went on to become a competitive powerlifter, earning a USPF State Championship title in 2007. He trained for 10 years under Joe Di Marco, an original Westside Barbell Club member, inventor of the lever-action weightlifting belt, and pioneer of the box squat.


In 2009, Jeff founded West Coast Barbell in San Pedro, California, creating a space where neighbors, families, and athletes train with purpose and accountability.


Beyond the gym floor, Jeff co-leads a nonprofit program serving adolescents struggling with mental health and physical inactivity, combining evidence-based therapy with structured weight training.


A San Pedro native, Jeff continues to build a legacy of strength — training alongside his 21-year-old daughter, who is also a coach at West Coast Barbell.

Annie Castagnola

Youth Wellness and Women’s Fitness Coach

Annie Castagnola is a Youth Wellness and Women’s Fitness Coach who is passionate about helping others build strength, confidence, and a healthy lifestyle. Her journey into fitness began with her own transformation, losing 86 pounds and discovering the power of consistent training and self-discipline.


Inspired by the impact fitness had on her life, Annie dedicated herself to becoming a coach so she could help other women and young athletes believe in themselves and reach their goals. Through supportive coaching, positive encouragement, and real-life experience, Annie is committed to empowering women and youth to become stronger—both physically and mentally.

Shana Favazza

Coach

Shana Favazza has been passionate about fitness and kickboxing for over a decade.


For the past four years, Shana has been leading high-energy kickboxing and circuit training classes for clients who want to get stronger, healthier, and more confident.


Shana is a certified personal trainer (ISSA-CPT) who loves motivating people and giving them the extra push they need to reach the next level.


She has worked with all fitness levels, including teens, and believes everyone deserves to feel strong and empowered.


At West Coast Barbell, Shana leads the West Coast Fit program, a circuit-training program designed specifically for women who want an efficient, results-driven workout.


As a busy mom herself, Shana understands how challenging it can be to find time to work out, which is why she designed powerful 30-minute classes that deliver real results for busy moms and women on the go.

Patti Feliciano

Personal Trainer, Coach

Patti Feliciano brings over 20 years of expertise in personal training and kickboxing to every session. With a decade-long track record of leading successful weight loss challenges and circuit training programs, Patti is dedicated to helping clients achieve sustainable results.


Originally building her foundation through NASM, she has since expanded her specialized toolkit with a CrossFit L1 certification and the prestigious Glute Lab certification. Beyond physical training, Patti is a lifelong student of nutrition, holding certification ìn Optimizing Brain Performance Through Nutrition. For over 15 years, she has been a trusted local resource for those looking to move beyond dieting and discover a way of eating they can truly thrive on.

Patti Feliciano
Philemon Hardy-Moore

Philemon Hardy-Moore

Coach

With his “no nonsense, but make it fun” approach to fitness, Philemon Hardy-Moore has enjoyed being a fitness professional for 20+ years.


A military veteran, he’s trained just about any and everyone, from MMA fighters to massage therapists, professional/Olympic athletes to first timers, and musicians/dancers to amputees and stroke survivors.


He implements and blends techniques to create the most efficient routines and programs for his clients that sometimes include Pilates, contrast therapy, partner-assisted stretch, percussion therapy, and myofascial release.


He hopes that all his knowledge and experiences lend themselves toward a solution and your goals.

Andrew Mejia is a dedicated personal trainer committed to helping individuals build lasting strength, discipline, and confidence. After transforming his own body and mindset, he discovered that real change doesn’t come from fleeting motivation — it comes from structure, accountability, and a well-designed plan.


He specializes in fat loss, muscle building, and sustainable habits that fit seamlessly into real life. Whether clients train with him in person or online, his mission remains the same: to help every person build their strongest body while developing the mindset needed to maintain it.

Dominique Davis

Dominique Davis

Coach

Dominique Davis is a San Pedro–based strength and performance coach with more than 15 years of experience helping people transform how they look, feel, and perform. After earning his degree in Exercise Science in 2010, he began his career working with the football, basketball, and track programs at Jacksonville University, gaining early experience in high-level athletic training.


He later continued developing his craft in Miami, training in a high-performance coaching environment before returning to California to build his own independent training practice. Dom’s background includes advanced education through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, where he has held both the CSCS and CPT certifications.


Over the years, Dom has helped numerous clients lose weight, improve their metabolic health, build real strength, and develop confidence in their bodies again. His coaching combines an evidence-based training approach with practical, sustainable strategies that fit into real life—not extreme programs that burn people out.



Today, Dom works with both athletes and everyday clients, creating personalized programs designed to help people move better, get stronger, and feel their best—inside and outside the gym.

Leo Schroeder

Personal Trainer

Leo Schroeder is a 21-year-old competitive powerlifter and kinesiology major with over

three years of personal training experience. Passionate about strength training and

human performance, he combines academic knowledge with hands-on coaching to help others build strength, improve movement, and reach their fitness goals.

Michael Watts

Michael Watts

Coach

Michael is a Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Child and Youth Care Counsellor with over 20 years of teaching and direct practice experience. Michael’s experiences include residential treatment facilities and pediatric hospital centers, and his areas of expertise include individual, family, and group therapy, at-risk adolescents, mental health, parenting, and psychosocial issues related to living with a chronic medical condition.


Michael has taught at the certificate, Bachelor’s, and Master’s levels, and currently teaches part-time in the Faculty of Continuing Education, Mount Royal University, and teaches as a Sessional Instructor in the Faculty of Social Work, The University of Calgary. 


Michael and his associate currently run a non-profit program in San Pedro, California, which focuses on serving adolescents who struggle with mental health and physical inactivity via evidence-based clinical therapy and weight training modalities.
